MaryBeth (Cormier) Marrone

MaryBeth (Cormier) Marrone, 57, of Greenville, RI., formerly of Weymouth, East Bridgewater and Coral Springs, FL., died June 2, 2012 at home after a period of failing health. She was the companion of Steven Gould of Greenville, RI.

Born in Boston on August 21, 1954, a daughter of the late Joseph L. and Helen G. (Wagner) Cormier, she was raised in Easton and was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School.

Mrs. Marrone was employed as an administrative assistant for Southern Bell and was devoted to her children.

In addition to her companion, Steven, she is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Marrone of Coral Springs, FL. and Michelle Marrone-Blair of Davie, FL.; three sisters, Lorraine St. Pierre of New Bedford, Joanne Christink of Bridgewater, and Marilyn Cormier of Pembroke; a brother, Joseph Cormier of New Bedford; and three grandchildren, Erik James Blair, Caden John Blair and Katelyn Elizabeth Cowan all of FL.

Arrangements were handled by Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton, followed by a Memorial Service at the funeral home. Interment was in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Easton.  www.kanefuneralhome.com

 

Dorothy Mae McMenamy

Dorothy Mae McMenamy died Thursday June 7, 2012 at home in North Easton, at the age of 93. Born in Norwood, Jan. 8, 1919, she graduated from Canton HS in 1938. She married Paul Farrell following her graduation and remained married to him until his death in Japan in 1945.

Mrs. McMenamy worked for many years at the Toll House Restaurant in Avon,  MA. She also worked summers as a life guard. Following the war, she married James F. McMenamy and resided inNorth Eastonw here she lived the rest of her years. Together with Mr. McMenamy, they operated the Dorothy-James Restaurant until the 1960’s. She ran a taxi business following her time in the restaurant business. She enjoyed braiding rugs, entertaining friends and family, and just being at home.

She is survived by her daughter, Maureen Farrell Bellucci, and her husband, Louis of Stuart, FL., sons James F. McMenamy Jr. and his wife, Deborah of Stockbridge, MA., Kevin Michael McMenamy and his wife Paula of Lakeville, MA., Shaun Patrick McMenamy and his wife Vicki of Plymouth, MA., 11 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. 

The funeral will be at  Copeland-MacKinnon Funeral Home, 38 Center St., Easton Tuesday, June 12, at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Easton. Visiting hours Monday from 4-7 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Easton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Home for Little Wanderers in care of Copeland-Mackinnon Funeral Home.
