Easton Obituaries from the past week

John F. Crowe, 46, of Taunton, formerly of Easton, and Brockton, died Sept. 2, 2012 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston after a brief illness. He was the former husband of Susan (Shute) Crowe.

Born in Boston on October 8, 2012, a son of John F. and Frances C. (Craven) Crowe of Easton, he was raised in Brockton and was a 1983 graduate of Brockton High School and continued his education at Air Traffic Control School in Oklahoma.

Employed as an Air Traffic Controller, John was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 238 in Easton and was devoted to his children and family.

In addition to his parents and his former wife, he is survived by two children, Rachel Crowe and Shane Crowe both of Brockton; two brothers, Steven Crowe of Brockton and David Crowe and his companion Erin Doherty both of Brockton; a sister, Debra Walsh and her husband Brian of Easton; and several nieces,
nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton. The funeral will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the New Hope ChristianChapel, 6 Meadowhill Court (off Rte.106) Easton. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Ann R. (Antonino) Griffiths, 85, of Easton, formerly of Braintree and Dorchester, died September 1, 2012 at Carney Hospital in Dorchester. She was the wife of the late David J. Griffiths (BFD).

Born in Boston on June 2, 1927 a daughter of the late Peter and Philomena (Simone) Antonino, she was raised and educated in Boston. She was a homemaker devoted to her family. She enjoyed travelling, playing cards, walking, dancing and having a good time.

A resident of Easton for the past 2 years, she lived in Braintree for 34 years and Dorchester for more then 20 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Jo-Ann Woolf and her husband Louis of Easton and Jayne Marie Manganello and her husband Richard of Attleboro; a sister, Josephine Peter of Dorchester; two brothers, Peter Antonino of Humarock and Vincent Antonino of Roxbury; four grandchildren, Richard and Nicholas Manganello of Attleboro and David and Amanda Woolf of Easton; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Grace Puntiri, John Antonino, Rose Sassone, Michael Antonino, Daniel Antonino and Phyllis Cuffley.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte. 138) Easton. Daniel J. Merritt, 57, of Easton, died unexpectedly Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at home. He was the husband of Debra (Wise) Merritt for 25 years.

Born in Somerville on April 16, 1955, a son of the late Raymond  and Dorothy (Caprigno) Merritt, he was raised in Malden and was  a 1974 graduate of Malden High School. He continued his education  at Bunker Hill Community College earning an associates degree  in Business.

Daniel was employed as a salesman in the Food Industry and later  owned and operated D & D Limousine of Easton. He enjoyed both  golf and skiing.

In addition to his wife Debra, he is survived by three children, Stephanie
Martin and her husband Christopher of Sharon, Brandon Merritt of Easton,
and Austin Merritt of Easton; his siblings, Joseph Merritt of Phoenix, AZ.,
Deborah Merritt of Brockton, Cynthia Palmisano of FL., Bernice Higden of
Acton and David Merritt of Brockton; and three grandchildren, Evan,
Maddison and Kayleigh.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton.
