Remembering Alfred Beech

Alfred F. Beech of North Easton died Dec. 17, 2012. He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Barbara A. (Cherry) Beech. Born Jan. 12, 1922, he was the son of the late Walter E. and Mary (MacDonald) Beech. Alfred retired after 37 years as a Quality Control Specialist for the U.S Government. He also owned and operated Easton Appliance Service for many years. He was a licensed private pilot. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a plank owner on the USS Cape Esperance. He was the loving father of Barbara C. Beech and her husband Paul DeRosa of Walpole, Robert F. and his wife Kathryn Beech of Coatesville, Pa., and Alfred J. Beech and his wife Genevieve Kenney of Arlington, Va.; brother of the late Rita, Christene, and Walter Beech; grandfather of Jonathan, Allison, Mary, and William Beech. Visiting hours were held Dec. 20, in the Copeland-MacKinnon Funeral Home, 38 Center St., Easton, 4-7 p.m. Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Easton, Friday at 10 a.m. Interment in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewatwer.
