Easton Obituary: Charlotte V. (McKeon) Lavon

Charlotte V. (McKeon) Lavin, 87, of Easton, formerly of Whitman, died Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Baypointe Nursing home in Brockton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Thomas P. Lavin.

Born in Boston on January 22, 1925, a daughter of the late Joseph and Esther (Tobin) McKeon, she was raised in Boston and was a graduate of the Boston Public Schools.

A resident of Whitman for many years, she moved to Easton 20 years ago. Devoted to her children and grandchildren, Charlotte was a homemaker. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling.

Charlotte is survived by three children, Charlene M. Lavin and her husband Steven Parsons of Mansfield, Thomas P. Lavin and his wife Irena of Easton and Peter J. Lavin and his wife Louise of Brockton; six grandchildren, Tiffany Buckley of Middleboro, Sean Lavin of South Boston, Thomas Lavin III of Easton, Brittany Lavin of Brockton, Christopher Lavin of Brockton and Kendall Lavin-Parsons of Mansfield. She was also the sister of the late Claire Grieco and Joseph McKeon.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton, on Friday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in the Holy Cross Church, Easton, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
