Janice L. (Erbeck) Altwein, 68, a resident of Easton for the past 40 years, died at home under the care of her family after a period of failing health. She was thee wife of Charles H. Altwein of 48 years.
Born in Stoughton on MArch 14, 1944, a daughter of the late Andrew Phillip and Claire (Wilbur) Erbeck, she was raised in West Bridgewater graduated from West Bridgewater High School and LaBaron Hairdressing Academy of Brockton and as a child she was a member of the 4H of West Bridgewater.
A self-employed Hairdresser she was the proprietor of the former Hairworks of Easton. She was employed with Easton DPW and later became a bookkeeper for IDC of Easton, Carolina Trucking and finished her career as a customer service representative for Chadwick's of Boston.

In addition to her husband Charles, she is survived by two sons, Charles Altwein of Easton and Christopher Altwein and his wife Karen of Raynham; two brothers, David Erbeck of FL., and Christopher Erbeck of OK; one grandchild, Kacie Altwein of Raynham, nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Richard Erbeck and Beverly Murray.
