John F. Curran was a resident of Easton for the past 26 years. He passed away last week. Below is his obituary from Kane Funeral Home:
John F. Curran, 65, a resident of Easton for the past 26 years, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at home under the care of his family. He was the husband of Shelley (DeMarco) Curran for 36 years.
Born in Cambridge on July 6, 1947, a son of the late John and Anna (Antonellis), he was a 1965 graduate of Brockton High School and earned an Associates Degree in Engineering from Massasoit Community College in Brockton.

John was employed as an engineer manager for Verizon Communications based out of Framingham for 30 years, retiring in 1994. A self taught musician, he played both the guitar and piano and was a member of the band The Breakaways.
An avid golfer, he was a member of The Back Nine Club Golf Course in Lakeville and the Acushnet River Valley Golf Course. He also enjoyed model ship building.

In addition to his wife Shelley, he is survived by two daughters, Sara Curran Lutz and her husband Jason of Marlboro and Stephanie Curran of Easton; his siblings, Donna McCarthy of Easton, Patricia Hamlin of Brockton, Robert Curran of Brockton, Debra Kimball of Bridgewater and Lynn Kandar of Easton; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
