Easton Obituary: Mary Lordan

Remembering Mary Lordan of Easton.

Mary Lordan, 95, a lifelong resident of Easton, died Wednesday morning October 24, 2012 at Plymouth Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center after a period of failing health.

Born in Easton on December 26, 1916, a daughter of the late Daniel and Johannah (Cochrane) Lordan, she was raised in Easton and was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School.

A veteran of WWII, she served in the US Navy as a Seaman 1st Class. Mary was employed as a hairdresser for 35 years at Almy's Hair Salon of Brockton. An avid New England Sports Fan, she enjoyed cooking and reading.

Mary is survived by several nieces and nephews and was the sister of the late Francis L. "Zip" Lordan, Eileen Lordan, William Lordan, Michael "Joe" Lordan, Catherine Gustafson and John Lordan.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in Kane Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton, followed by a funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Easton, at 10:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Easton.
