Obituary of Ralph A. Hopkins

Ralph A. Hopkins, age 91, of North Easton, passed away Sept. 20, 2012, after a short illness at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy M. (Lescord) Hopkins. He was born Sept. 21, 1920, in Brockton, the son of the late Charles and Isabell (Jameison) Hopkins. Ralph was president of Bridgewater Savings Bank before his retirement. Ralph loved watching sports, spending time with his grandchildren and family and was very involved in the Masonic Order. He was a member of the Paul Revere Lodge A.F. & A.M. since 1944, Satucket Royal Arch Chaptersince 1954, Brockton Council R.S. & M.M. since 1964, Bay State Commandery 38 KT since 1964, Scottish Rite Consistery since 1982 and the Aleppo Temple Aaonms Shrine since 1965. He was also a past Monach of the Shedad Grotto in Brockton. He is survived by his sons, Ronald Hopkins and his wife Marsha of Holbrook and Alan Hopkins of Easton. He was the brother of Charles Hopkins and his wife Linda of West Bridgewater; grandfather of Scott Hopkins and his wife Melissa of Winter Park, Fla., and JasonHopkins and his wife Sharon of Brockton. He will be missed also by his four great-grandchildren, Dominick and Makayla Hopkins of Brockton and Trevor and Derek Hopkins of Florida.
