Easton Obituary: Rose M. Esposito

The obituary of Rose M. Esposito, formerly of Easton.

Rose M. (Miskis) Mather Esposito, 96 years, of Hanover, formerly of Easton, died quietly Sept. 21, 2012, in the Bay Path Nursing Facility, Duxbury. She was the wife of the late Henry Mather and Peter Esposito. Rose was born in Brockton, to the late Thomas and Anne Miskis. She was a 1934 graduate of Brockton High School before marrying and moving to Easton to raise her family. She worked as a shoe cutter for many years for the Dartmouth Shoe Company and King Size Shoe, both in Brockton, and later for the Footjoy Company in Taunton. Following her retirement, she moved to Hanover many years ago and enjoyed volunteering her time at the Cardinal Cushing Residence, where she also taught ceramics. Rose enjoyed her life spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her children, Jane Peterson and her husband Kenneth of Norwell, Edward L. Mather and his wife Elaine of Easton; her grandchildren, Jennifer Holth and her husband Thor of Lyme, Conn., Michelle Peterson of Quincy, and Daniel and Jeffrey Mather of Easton; her great-grandchildren, Owen and Charles Holth; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday 9-11:15 a.m., in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, followed by a funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, North Easton, at 12 p.m. Burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
