Remembering Warren Olson

Warren Olson served in World War II, lived in Easton for the past 55 years and worked as an electrician. Below is his full obituary from Kane Funeral Home:

Warren S. Olson, 88, a resident of Easton for the past 55 years, died Friday, February 15, 2013 at Southeast Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Easton after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Marjorie (Toland) Olson.

Born in Brockton on June 10, 1924, a son of the late Sigfred and  Hannah (Backstrom) Olson, he was raised in Brockton and was a graduate of Brockton High School.

A veteran of WWII, he served on the USS Osterhaus from 1942-1946. Upon discharge, he began working as an electrician for the IBEW Local 223 of Lakeville and was awarded a pin for 65 years of service. He enjoyed vacationing during the winter time at Boynton Beach, FL. and would spend his summers on Cape Cod.

He is survived by three sons, Mark Olson and his wife Jeanne of Middleboro, Steve Olson of Easton, and Peter Olson and his wife Donna of Norton; five grandchildren, David, Hilary, Jennifer Laurie, and Kyle; three great grandchildren, Felicity, Aaron, and Haley; and several nieces and nephews. He was the the brother of the late Carlton Olson, Elsie Olson, Doris Olson, Gladys Olson and Pearl Olson.
