Obituary: Charles M. Salamone, 73, Helped Struggling Businesses

Charles M. Charlie Salamone of Easton, formerly of Holbrook, died at home on Nov. 26. He was 73. Mr. Salamone was the loving husband of Judith Judi Salamone of Easton.

Mr. Salamone was born Dec. 10, 1939, in Charlestown, the son of the late Michael and Elvira (Nuzzolo) Salamone. He attended Salve Regina University in Newport, R.I., before setting out into the business world. He and Judi married in 1960 and lived in Holbrook before making home in Easton.

Mr. Salamone worked in the business managements industry assisting troubled companies correct issues thus, turning struggling businesses into successful ones. He loved animals and took part in the Doberman rescue effort, finding happy homes for strayed dogs. He was an avid Patriots fan and also a season ticket holder since the early 1960s and enjoyed NASCAR and playing pool.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Salamone leaves behind his sons, Gregory and his wife Victoria of Easton and Michael and his wife Shannon of Fall River. He was the proud grandfather of Rhiannon Stone, Brendan Luttrell, Ryan Luttrell, Elisa Hamm and Mia and a great-grandfather of 5. Mr. Salamone was the brother of Michael and David, both of Medford, and the late Cebastian. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. 

Calling hours were held held Monday, Dec. 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Copeland-MacKinnon Funeral Home, 38 Center St., Easton. A funeral service was held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment followed the funeral service in Furnace Village Cemetery in Easton. Online condolences may be made at www.mackinnonfuneralhomes.com.
