Obituary: William E. Kezer, 56, Postal Inspector For 22 Years

William E. Kezer (Bill), of Easton, 56, died unexpectedly on Dec. 1, 2013, while vacationing in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. He was the husband of 34 years of Nancy E. (Carlson) Kezer.

Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton High School. He also was a graduate of Tabor Academy and Framingham State College. He was a resident of Mansfield for many years before moving to Easton several years ago.

Mr. Kezer worked for the United States Postal Inspection Service for 22 years, retiring as the Deputy Chief Postal Inspector at age 50. He was an avid golfer and a sports fan and with his son, Shaun of Norton, a longtime season ticket holder of the New England Patriots.

In addition to his wife and son, he leaves his daughter Jennifer of Easton. He was the brother of Joann Lynch of Attleboro, Gerald F. Kezer of N.H. He also leaves his sister-in-law, Jill Russell and her husband Paul of Stoughton as well as many nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27), Stoughton on Dec. 10, at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John's Church, Canton at 10 a.m. Visiting hours were Monday, Dec. 9, from 3  to 7 p.m. Interment is at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
