OA Robotics Team Iron Tigers Qualify for 1st Robotics Competition!

The OA Robotics team, The Iron Tigers has just been notified that they have qualified to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition championship in St. Louis from April 23 -26, which is next week! This is a huge and unprecedented accomplishment for our tiny and relatively new team, which didn't even make it to the quarter finals of the first level of competition the past year and the year before...truly a Cinderella story in the competitive robotics world. As such, we're scrambling to raise funds to make the trip affordable for all team members and the adults who need to travel with the team. Would you please consider making a donation to our trip and spread the word to your family and friends? We need to move quickly to make the funds available to the team before they leave on their trip so if you can help or spread the word, please don't delay.

The team has set up a fundraising site at GoFundMe, the link to which is below. They can also take donations directly. For direct donations, please make checks out to Iron Tigers Robotics and send to:

Oliver Ames High School
100 Lothrop St.
North Easton MA 02356
ATTN: Ian Murphy, Math Department

If you have access to an e-mail distribution list of folks who would spread the word, please distribute. We need to get the word out to as many people as possible as quickly as possible.

Many thanks for your support!
