18-Wheeler Rolls Over in Roche Brothers Plaza

Nobody was hurt in the accident on Roche Brother's Way.

Luckily nobody was hurt, but emergency responders dealt with rather "big" accident in Roche Brother's Plaza last week.

Police received notification at approximately 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11 on the State Police Transfer about a truck that had rolled over on Roche Brother's Way. The caller, who was driving the truck, said there were no injuries, but there was property damage.

The truck operator called for his own tow and the truck was removed within an hour.

Parkview Elementary Evacuated Due to Alleged Smell of Gas

Easton Fire officials responded to Parkview Elementary Wednesday at approximately noon regarding the smell of gas in the lobby. The building was evacuated.

Police responded as well, and reported that the fire department was on scene and did not detect anything. The gas company was called in and responded to the scene.

Shoplifting Reported at CVS

Easton Police received a call from CVS Pharmacy on Depot Street on Friday at approximately 9:10 p.m. regarding an alleged shoplifting incident in progress.

A male left the scene described as short having short black hair, a black leather jacket and jeans that were rolled at the bottom.

The suspect crossed Depot Street into the Shaw's parking lot to a waiting vehicle described as a silver Toyota Corolla. The vehicle left on Depot in the direction of Center Street.

Officers checked area streets and were unable to locate the vehicle. Officers met with CVS employees.

Possible Breaking and Entering on Columbus Avenue

Police investigated a possible breaking and entering incident Saturday at 7:50 a.m.

A caller reported she was on the North Shore at her father's and a man she met once called her and said he broke into her apartment.

An officer checked the residence and did not find anything.

Alleged Shoplifter Caught at Posh

An alleged shoplifter was arrested Saturday afternoon after Police received a call from inside Posh on Washington Street.

Annette Pollack, 57, of 1769 Washington Street, Braintree was arrested for shoplifting after the caller informed Easton Police that she was inside the store. 

Two-Car Accident at Turnpike and Foundry

Nobody was seriously hurt in a two-car motor vehicle accident at the corner of Turnpike and Foundry Street Saturday night.

Police received a call at approximately 6:20 p.m. regarding the accident. The caller said there was "significant" damage to a vehicle.

Both vehicles pulled into the 7-11 parking lot. One passenger complained of neck and back pain upon officer arrival but declined care from the Easton Fire Department.

Prospect Street Accident Results in OUI

One person as arrested Saturday night after he allegedly struck a tree while driving on Prospect Street.

Brandon McCarthy, 21, of 1 Jyra Lane was arrested for operating under the influence at approximately 8 p.m. after police arrived on the scene of the accident. He was not injured and was released on $240 bail.
