Break-in Reported on Highland Street

Easton Police are searching for a subject after a Tuesday night break-in.

Easton Police are on the lookout for a suspect who reportedly broke into a Highland Street home Tuesday night.

Police first received a call at approximately 8 p.m. from a caller reporting someone was breaking into their neighbors home, Police Chief Allen Krajcik said. The caller was watching the home while the owner was away.

Easton Police Officer Chris Aker arrived on the scene to see the supect run out of the back of the home and into the woods. Along with a State Poice canine unit, police searched the area but did not locate the suspect.

Krajcik said it is belived that the suspect had a vehicle parked on Anthony Drive and fled. It is unknown if anything was taken from the home but some items in the house had been moved by the suspect, including a large teleivision, he said.

Easton Police Det. Sgt. Michael Fox is following up, according to Krajcik.
