Driver Sent to Hospital After Striking Pole on Depot Street

An early Sunday accident ended with one in the hospital

An early morning accident on Depot Street Sunday sent one person to Good Samaritan Medical Center.

A 911 caller reported a car vs. telephone accident at approximately 4:36 a.m. Upon arrival, Easton Police found that the driver of the vehicle was injured. The driver was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center.

Verizon was notified of pole damage and property damage was reported at 179 Depot Street.

Norfolk Man Arrested for OUI After Hit and Run

After allegedly striking a telephone pole on Foundry Street and fleeing, a Norfolk man was arrested for drunk driving.

Cody Bausch, 18, of 7 Shirly Lane, Norfolk, was arrested for OUI liquor after Easton Police pulled him over further down the road.

A caller reported a one-vehicle accident on Foundry Street at approximately 1:15 a.m. Sunday. A second 911 call reported a hit and run, with the driver possibly driving a Subaru station wagon heading towards Five Corners with possible front end damage.

Bausch was arrested and released on $40 bail.

Pedestrian Sideswiped by Vehicle

A pedestrian suffered minor injuries after being sideswiped by a vehicle at the corner of Highlands and Rollins Street.

The male reported injuries but refused medical treatment.

Diesel Spill Wednesday Morning

Mansfield Police contacted Easton Police Wednesday morning at approximately 9:40 a.m. regarding slick roads in Mansfield and crossing over to Easton on route 106.

A party called to report damage to his vehicle from oil slick that started in the five corners area and the party believed he drove through diesel fuel. Mansfield PD found the vehicle responsible in Foxborough and confirmed that it was diesel fuel. Easton DPW was notified.

Glass Spill on North Main Street

A resident on North Main Street called on Tuesday at 10:22 p.m. and reported a large barrel of glass fell off a truck traveling in the area creating a road hazard.

An officer located the party responsible for the glass, who agreed to clean up the glass in the morning when it was safe.
