Easton Man Killed in Early Morning Crash in Stoughton

The investigation of the crash is "fluid and ongoing."

One person has died after an early morning, two-car crash in Stoughton, according Stoughton police. 

Around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31, a 1994 Honda Accord collided with a 2011 Ford Edge on Route 138 (Washington Street). Christopher Wengler, 32, of North Easton, was declared deceased at Good Samaritan Hospital as the result of his injuries, according to police. The second operator sustained minor injuries. 

"The Stoughton Police Detective Unit, in conjunction with the Massachusetts State Police Vehicle Crash Reconstruction team and the Norfolk County District Attorney’s office are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the crash," states the press release on its Facebook page. "It is far too early to speculate on cause as the investigation remains fluid and ongoing."
