Easton FD Responds to Six Brush Fires This Week

The largest fire was on Bradford Street Monday afternoon.

 

With Easton burning season in full swing, you may want to use caution if you're looking to burn.

This past week, the responded to six brush fires in town, the largest of which occurred in the woods area behind 11 Bradford Street on Monday afternoon.

The fire was 100 feet by 100 feet in diameter and resulted in the state brush truck responding. The Stoughton Fire Department assisted with coverage and an extensive amount of overhaul was done with a large pile of burning logs.

No injuries were reported.

The 4 p.m. fire was the fourth that day. At noon, fire officials responded to an outside fire at 508 Foundry Street. About an hour after that, a large pile was extinguished on 2 Kilsyth Road.

At approximately 3:22, there was a small mulch fire outside of at 533 Washington Street.

Earlier in the week, on Saturday, fire officials responded to brush fires on Pine Street and Turnpike Street.
