A 42-year-old Norton contractor shot a nail gun into his knee Monday at 3:15 p.m., while he was building a house at 24 Rockland St. in Easton, according to the Easton Fire Department.
He was working on framing a roof and up 18-20 feet on a scaffolding when the injury occurred. Easton Fire removed him with a stokes basket and the aerial ladder to lower the victim to the ground.
A med-flight helicopter landed at the Parkview Elementary School and the patient was transferred to the Boston Medical Center.
Easton Fire Chief Kevin Patridge commended captain Jim Walsh, who was in command at the scene and oversaw the removal from the scaffolding, Lt. Tom Nicholson, firefighters Rich Salve, Nick Houth, Darren Stone, Jeff Dupuis and Kyle Lovell.
