Easton Firefighters Distribute Food to Elise Circle, Parker Terrace

This marks the third straight year the Firefighters Union participated in the event.

Submitted to Easton Patch by Easton Fire Local 2790:

Yesterday, members of the Easton Fire Local 2790, along with some their families, delivered boxes of food purchased at Hannafords.  This marks the 3rd year the union members have given to the residents of Elise Circle and Parker Terrace.

This was the first year that we included 'File of Life' with every box.  The File of life is a helpful tool used by people with extensive medical issues to inform emergency personnel of a patient's medical history, allergies and current medication in the event the patient is unable to relay that information.

The forms come in a small pouch with a magnet that can be displayed in their residence on a refrigerator or door.  The File of Life provides life saving information during an emergency situation.

The members of the Local decided earlier in the year that purchasing the file of life forms and distributing them to the community was an easy way to make the residents safer.  Going forward, we will be handing them out to residents who we feel can benefit from them.
