An Easton man arrested for drunken driving for the ninth time, according to the Boston Globe.
Rehoboth Police came across 46-year-old David Frates pulled over on the side of Winthrop Street (Route 44) at around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. Frates was holding a plastic cup full of alcohol and there was an open bottle of blackberry brandy in the car.
Frates pleaded not guilty in Taunton District Court to charges of operating under the influence, driving with a revoked license, and carrying an open container of alcohol. He was released on personal recognizance and is scheduled to return to court on Jan. 22.
