Easton Police Log: Aug. 12-13

The following is from the Easton Police Department. Where arrests are made mentioned, they do not indicate convictions.

The following is the Easton Police Log from Aug. 12-13.

Monday, Aug. 12:
3:17 a.m.-Parker Ter. Assist Fire Department with 911 caller. Party said they fell asleep with a pan on the stove, unit filled with smoke. Party advised to exit home.
9:36 a.m.-Animal incident, Lothrop Street, to pick up missing Sheltie. Dog released to owner.
11:57 a.m.-Two car vehicle accident, Central-Washington Street. Car towed.
12:23 p.m.-Two car vehicle accident no injuries Bourne's Auto Sales, Belmont St. Officer reports no injuries, no hazards.5:34 p.m.-Caller reports a pick-up truck lost some folding chairs on Route 138, in the North bound lane by Union Villa.
6:17 p.m.-Caller reports daughter walking in area of Summer/Shady when a black sedan with white racing stripes on the hood, threw debris at them. Vehicle went in direction of high school. Officer checked area, unable to locate anyone.
6:44 p.m.-Biker rider reports wire hanging low and into the sidewalk at 98 Center St., Easton Fire Department advised and responding.
7:33 p.m.-A party reports unsafe steel piping and "arm extentions" on construction project. Party advises steel rods need caps. DPW to follow up.
9:08 p.m.-Robbery at Dunkin Donuts, Washington Street, Caller reports masked male jumped counter and beat worker across the face and shot her with an air pistol. Clerks located themselves in the store. Police are looking for dark, skinned male, late teens, 5-8 low hoodie, black mask covered the bottom of his face, left in unknown direction.
Tuesday, Aug. 13:
12:25 a.m.-Caller reports vehicles racing up and down Rockland and Massapoag. Vehicles describes a white Mustang and a dark-colored Escalade. Officer checked the area and unable to locate at this time.
7:18 a.m.-911 caller on Talcott Road reports a lumber track on fire in the middle of the road. Easton Fire Department notified. Electrical fire has been extinguished.9 a.m. Vandalism at Hometown Auto Shop, Main Street. Caller reports vehicles were sprayed with a fire extinguisher. Owner says it will come up off.
6:38 p.m.-Whitter Lane. Residents reports strong odor of natural gas can be detected behind units. They have smelled the odor since this morning. Easton Fire Department notified.
9:13 p.m.-Caller reports a vehicle hit a pole, possible second car involved in leaving the scene, described as a blue Honda Accord. Fire Department responded. Under arrest is Derek Poilucci, 24 White St., No. 4, Taunton, Unit 33, charged with allegedly operating under the influence.
