Easton Police Log Through August 22

The following is from the Easton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned they do not indicate convictions.

August 19

12:11 a.m. 
Vandalism. Kennedy Circle. Caller reporting while at friend's house another party was punching his vehicle. Caller states his vehicle is dented and would like to speak to an officer. Officers out at residence, units going to Dickerman Road to speak with party involved. No one home at this time. Officer will try back later. 

August 20 

12:33 p.m. Officer Wanted. Easton Police Department, Lothrop Street. Female in to seek advice on a situation where a male who lives in Easton has been harassing her friend's friends and his mother. Both her friends and his mother live in Easton.

2:30 p.m. Noise Complaint. Bay Road. Caller reporting two kids in their backyard are setting off fireworks and causing a disturbance to other neighbors. Officer reports speaking with an adult. Subjects advised. 

4:05 p.m. Noise Complaint. Rollins Road. Anonymous caller reports neighborhood youths have been riding motorized bikes/ATVs on the street all summer long. Today it's been going on for the past two hours. Officers searched the area, unable to locate. All is quiet. 

5:02 p.m. Officer Wanted. Depot Street. Farmer's market manager requires an officer for a tractor trailer that ran over a sign and entered the area in the wrong direction. Officer state no damage to the sign... driver dug hole and returned sign to its original location, individual was advised. 

6:56 p.m. Assist Fire Department. Old Post Road. 911--resident reports grill fire in progress on back deck... Easton FD notified... advised to evacuate and stay clear of the area. Officer states fire is out, Easton FD on scene evaluating. 

11:54 p.m. Larceny (under $250). Turnpike Street. Resident just came home from work and discovered a 3 x 4 metal fencing missing from garden.

August 21

8:45 a.m. Animal Incident. Howard Street. Animal Control Officer assisting homeowner in deterring two foxes from property. 

10:07 a.m. Animal Incident. Spooner Street. Resident reports a bat on sunporch. Animal control officer unable to locate the bat. 

11:14 a.m. Noise Complaint. Caller reporting two boys riding around the neighborhood with an ATV/motor bikes. Caller would like an officer to speak with a parent in order to keep the noise down. Officer advised mother of the boys and she will keep them with the ATVs in own yard. 

2:36 p.m. Fraud. Party in Easton Police Department to report fraudulent activity on her Sears credit card from a suspect in Missouri. Report taken. 

7:27 p.m. Fraud. Robert Drive. Loss prevention officer request report to be taken for two counterfeit $100 bills passed on August 17. 

August 22

9:37 a.m. Animal Incident. Purchase Street and Turnpike Street. West Bridgewater PD advise they received a 911 call reporting cows on the roadway. 911 caller reporting there were four cows on his front lawn and now they have gone into the woods behind his residence. Reports that the cows went into West Bridgewater and there is a West Bridgewater Police Officer on scene. Cows have been returned to their owner on Turnpike Street.
