Easton Police Make OUI Arrest Early Sunday

Easton Police made a drunk driving arrest at the corner of Washington and Depot Street.

A Brockton man was arrested for drunk driving early Sunday morning after being pulled over at the corner of Washington and Depot Street.

Avelino Lopes Debarros, 47, of 11 Wellington Place, Brockton was arrested for operating under the influence at approximately 1:17 a.m.

Police were advised when a caller reported Debarros heading northbound on Turnpike Street, crossing over Foundry Street. The caller said the vehicle was going in and out of lanes.

Police transported one passenger home and later released Debarros on $200 bail.

Accident at Bridge Street and Center Street

Easton Police responded to the corner of Bridge Street and Center Street Sunday morning at approximately 6:56 for a possible motor vehicle accident.

The vehicle attempted to go between two boulders and got stuck.

Police arrived and a report was taken. No injuries were reported.

Hit and Run Reported on Bridge Street

Sunday at approximately 9:45 a.m., a caller reported a possible hit and run on his car parked on the side of the road. The incident occurred over the night.

Minor damage was reported by the officer and the subject was advised.

Accident at Washington and Central Street

Police reported to an accident at approximately noon on Sunday at the corner of Central and Washington Street.

No injuries were reported for the two-car motor vehicle accident.

Hit and Run From Stoughton

Easton Police responded to a call from Stoughton Police Sunday at approximately 5:30 p.m. reporting a hit and run in Stoughton, with the driver heading towards Easton.

The driver was stopped at CVS on Depot Street and said he did not know he struck the other vehicle's mirror. Officers assisted with paperwork exchange.
