Easton Police Make OUI Arrest Sunday Night

Drunk driving, breaking and entering, and stolen vehicles in this week's police log.

 

An Easton man was arrested Sunday night for operating under the influence.

Manuel Coelho, 38, of 352 Main Street was arrested after being stopped by police on the corner of Stonemore Road and Washington Street at approximately 10:20 p.m. His bail was set for $540.

A Prospect Street resident returned home from a weekend away Sunday night to find items missing.

Officers arrived and recovered possible evidence.

Taunton Man Arrested for OUI Early Sunday

A Taunton man was arrested for operating under the influence early Sunday morning.

Michael Greene, 54, of 19 Lawrence Street, Taunton was arrested for OUI after being stopped at Washington and Birch Road Sunday at approximately 1 a.m.

His bail was set at $120.

Motorcycle Reported Stolen Saturday

A Turnpike Street resident reported his motorcycle missing from his driveway Saturday morning at 5:38 a.m.

Police entered the red Yamaha as stolen.

Two Arrested in OUI Incident Friday Night

Two Easton residents were arrested Friday night at approximately 11:20 after being reported by a driver.

Christopher Conley, 21, of 37 Center Street, Easton was arrested for OUI and Michael Cole, 20, of 24 Canoe River Road was arrested for minor in possession of alcohol.

Both were arrested after police received a call from a driver reporting an erratic vehicle that had made multiple attempts to pass. The vehicle, driven by Conley, was located by police shortly after.

Breaking and Entering Reported on Bay Road Friday

A break-in was reported on Bay Road Friday night at approximately 6:45 p.m.

A neighbor called to report the back door open and the screen removed while resident was away. Police responded and found the same. The matter is under investigation.

Breaking and Entering Reported on Janet Road Thursday Morning

Police received a call from a Janet Road resident who had been away for approximately a week. The caller was reporting a past breaking and entering with the house ransacked and property missing.

Police confirmed entry through the kitchen window.

Breaking and Entering Reported on Rockland Street Thursday Morning

A Rockland Street resident arrived home to find a breaking and entering in progress Thursday morning at approximately 10:30 a.m.

The resident arrived to see a vehicle pull out of the driveway and one person on foot run out of the back door.

A K-9 unit was called in but the party was unable to be located.

Breaking and Entering Reported on Short Street Thursday Morning

A vacationing Short Street resident called police Thursday morning to report a breaking and entering incident.

The caller said her house sitter said the house might have been broken into. The rear window was broken. Police responded and confirmed the same.
