An Easton woman was arrested Wednesday after she tried to break into a tenant's apartment, damaged that tenant's car, and assaulted two police officers, according to a statement from the Easton Police Department.
Police responded to the Bay Road home at about 2:30 p.m. after receiving calls about a fight between two women. The fight was between the owner of the, 45-year-old homeowner Deborah Rosenberger and a tenant.
Rosenberger, who police say was "very intoxicated," allegedly tried to forcibly gain entrance into her tenant's apartment, fought with the tenant, and smashed the tenant's hood and windshield with a large board, and kicked and spit at police officers as they arrested her.
She has been charged with disorderly person, two counts of assault and batter on a police officer, malicious destruction of property, and resisting arrest. She was held on $5,000 bail and arraigned Thursday morning in Taunton District Court.
