Easton Woman Taken To Hospital After Rollover in Foxborough

The two-vehicle accident occurred at intersection of Central and Spring streets and Judge Warren Drive at 1:48 p.m. Thursday.

An Easton woman was taken to Norwood Hospital Thursday afternoon to be treated for non life-threatening injuries after her Toyota RAV4 was struck by a Buick and rolled over at the intersection of Central an Spring streets and Judge Warren Drive.

"Woman stopped at the intersection, thought she had enough time to get across and evidently she didn’t and contact was made and caused the rollover," said Foxborough Police officer Douglas Miller.

The male operator of the Buick that struck the woman's Toyota is from Holbrook.

Foxborough Fire and Police responded to a call reporting a rollover accident with entrapment at 1:48 p.m. When Foxborough Fire arrived on scene, the female operator, said to be in her 50s, was "semi-conscious."

"I know she was conscious and we did have communication," Douglas said.

Said Foxborough Fire Captain Thomas Buckley: "She should be OK."

MedFlight was requested by Foxborough Fire upon arrival but later cancelled. The scene was cleared just after 2:25 p.m.

"We initially called for them but she was semi-conscious and wasn’t trapped as bad as we initially thought so we decided to drive her because it is quicker," said Buckley, who noted this intersection has been an issue in town.

"It’s not an uncommon area for us," Buckley said.

No traffic citations have been issued to either operator at this time as the accident is currently under investigation, according to Miller.
