Local Couple Charged with OUI, Drugs

The following are excerpts from the Easton police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Tue., July 8

  • 5:32 a.m. A driver reported she struck a deer on Foundry Street.
  • 8:24 a.m. Two cars crashed on Turnpike Street and took out three mailboxes.
  • 1:05 p.m. A mother called police after she left her infant locked in her vehicle at Roche Bros. The engine was running and the air conditioning was on. The Fire Department responded and successfully broke into the vehicle for her. The infant was OK.
  • 1:21 p.m Two women were arrested after a vehicle struck a tree on Elderberry Drive and they started arguing.
  • 2:19 p.m. Jessica Farrell, of 48 Lazell St., Hingham, was charged with a drug violation.
  • 2:21 p.m. James Twombly, of 11 Kilmer Rd., Hingham, was charged with OUI.
  • 8:53 p.m. Police were advised of a possible street race behind Shaw's. They patrolled the area and found some drivers and told them to move along.
