Man Arrested For Armed Robbery At Burger King

Jeffrey Anitus, 24, of Brockton, and another suspect allegedly smashed the locked door at Burger King, put a gun to an employees head, and made off with cash before being arrested in Quincy.

The following is a statement from the Easton Police Department:

On August 3, 2013 at about 11:30 p.m. Easton Police responded to an armed (firearm) robbery at Burger King, 479 Foundry Street South Easton.  Responding officers found that two masked suspects smashed into the locked front door using a large brick, they then jumped the counter and put a gun to an employee’s head demanding money.  Suspects were given an undisclosed amount of cash and then fled through the rear door.

Easton Detectives responded and found items of clothing believed to be worn by suspects behind a fence.  Detectives later observed video from an area business showing the suspects throwing the clothing items away.  They also observed a white Cadillac in the area going through parking several times shortly before the robbery.  The vehicle was believed to be used by the suspects.  The items of clothing were analyzed by the State Police crime lab for DNA and a match was made with a Jeffrey Anitus, age 24, of 56 Rainbow Circle, Brockton.
