Easton Police informed Mansfield Police about three weeks ago that they were investigating a string of copper thefts, and are now investigating whether 33-year-old Michael Belcher of Mansfield is their culprit as well.
Belcher was arrested after being caught on video video stealing a copper downspout from St. Mary's Church. He pleaded innocent in Attleboro District Court to charges of larceny from a building and malicious damage. He is free on personal recognizance and is due back in Attleboro District Court Feb. 26.
