Police Called for 'Suspicious' Man in Tom Brady Jersey Ringing Door Bells

The following are excerpts from the Easton police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Mon., June 23

  • 12:42 a.m. A minor was charged alcohol possession on Lamplighter Lane. An officer responded to the scene after a caller reported there were vehicles in a parking lot and it appeared there was a "drug transaction" going on."
  • 1:02 a.m. A resident of Center Street said a group of teenagers were being loud in a parking lot.
  • 10:33 a.m. A caller reported there a "suspicious" man wearing a Tom Brady jersey ringing a bunch of door bells on Pine Street. An officer responded to the area but couldn't locate the man.
  • 11:14 a.m. A manager at Tedeschi's on Washington Street reported a theft.
  • 6:13 p.m. A woman reported an iPad was stolen from her vehicle.
  • 7:49 p.m. A caller said two "suspicious" black men were going to residents' doors on Roundtable Road trying to sell magazines.
Tue., June 24
  • 9:35 a.m. A man on Bay Road said a person claiming to be from the IRS called him and said a sheriff was coming to his home to collect $4,900 in past taxes.
  • 1:20 p.m. A caller said a dog was locked in a car at the Shaw's plaza. An officer responded to the scene but the vehicle had already left.
  • 3:56 p.m. A bicycle was reported stolen from a garage on Summer Street.
  • 8:35 p.m. A caller reported his girlfriend was "giving him a hard time" and being verbally abusive. An officer responded and restored the peace.
