Police Log: Driver Crashes Into Telephone Pole

The following is from the Easton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned they do not indicate convictions.

Saturday, Nov. 2

At 10:21 a.m., police responded to Mullen Lane after construction tools were stolen.

At 4:49 p.m., a shopper reported leaving her purse in the Roche Brothers parking lot.

At 10:50 p.m., police responded to a call on Foundry Street about a man wearing all black walking in the street and almost getting hit by two vehicles. Police could not find the man.

Sunday, Nov. 3

At 1:08 a.m., police responded to Turnpike Street after a driver crashed into a telephone pole. The driver was taken to an area hospital. The accident knocked down the pole and wire. National Grid were called to repair the pole and wire.

At 1:29 a.m., an intoxicated Rhode Island man was taken into protective custody until he was released to his parents.

At 4:20 p.m., police received two calls for a driver in a black SUV driving erratically. The driver reportedly struck a mailbox and drove through a stop sign. Police were unable to locate the driver.
