Police Log: Snowball Vs. Car Window, Threatening Phone Call, Loose Dog

The following is from the Easton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned they do not indicate convictions.

Tuesday, Dec. 10

At 3:34 p.m., state police transferred a call to the Mansfield Police Department reporting that a child throwing snowballs broke the window of a passing vehicle. The caller was unsure if the incident took place in Easton or Brockton.

At 5:06 p.m., a resident reported receiving two voicemails. When he called back, a man said that he was from the IRS and that in 40 minutes they were coming with a sheriff to arrest him. Police told the resident that no other agency had alerted Easton of an arrest in town and to call back if anyone showed up.

At 7:39 p.m., a resident reported seeing a loose dog, described as  a medium brown and white mix possibly wearing a red collar, in her back yard on Chestnut Street.
