Police Log: ‘Suspicious’ Plants, Dumpster Divers, And More

The following is from the Easton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned they do not indicate convictions.

Monday, Sept. 9

At 3:39 p.m., a driver called police to report an erratic elderly driver on Elm Street. She was reportedly all over the road. Police spoke to the alleged erratic motorist and found everything was OK.

At 3:58 p.m., police responded to Lincoln Street concerning teenagers reportedly smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol in a parking lot. The teens left the area before police arrived, but someone was able to get the license plate number. An officer spoke to parents of the teens and issued a verbal warning for trespassing. 

Tuesday, Sept. 10

At 10:25 a.m., police received a call about two men taking items out of a dumpster on Depot Street. The men left the area before police arrived.

At 11:23 a.m., police received a call from a man buying property on Eastman Street who found “suspicious looking plants” on his new property.

At 8:02 p.m., a Kingsbrook Way resident reported damage to a lawn. Police found the damage was caused by a landscaper. The homeowner will contact the landscaping company.
