Police Log: Two Deer, Dog Hit By Cars

The following is from the Easton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned they do not indicate convictions.

Wednesday, Nov. 6

At 8:15 a.m., a caller from Briarwood Realty on Belmont Street reported that five 15-foot copper downspouts were stolen sometime overnight. 

At 3:47 p.m., police received a report that a male shoplifter was detained at Target and being unruly. George Burch of Taunton was arrested for shoplifting. 

At 6 p.m., a resident came into the police department to report that their car was keyed. 

Friday, Nov. 8

At 4:05 a.m., a car hit a deer on Washington Street near the Union Villa and pulled over on the side of the road. The car only had minor damage to the front headlight.

At 5:51 p.m., police received a report of a one-car accident with a deer on Bay Road. There was no injury and some damage to the front end of the car. 

At 6:03 p.m., a caller reported hitting a dog, which got stuck under the vehicle. After an officer arrived on scene the dog was able to free itself from under the car and was running around the neighborhood.
