Police Log: Vandalism, Breaking and Entering, Noise Complaints, and More

The following is from the Easton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned they do not indicate convictions.

Saturday, September 7

11:14 a.m. Animal Incident. Turnpike Street. Caller reporting his cousin's puppy has been missing for 13 hours. Jasmine is blue nose pitt bull with a white and gray nose and head, a grayish body, and weighs about 40 pounds. At 1:43 p.m., a party called to report they found a dog with the same description. Owner confirmed same dog. Dog returned.

5:17 p.m. Animal Incident. Bay Road. Resident reports a dead raccoon on the middle of the road on Bay Road. Advised called that the Animal Control Officer is not on duty. Officer confirms carcass was flattened out on the fog line and not a hazard. 

6:21 p.m. Vandalism. Kingsley Road. Officer reports graffiti on a fence. Written in gray paint was "Tim D. was here," and in green paint was "Bitchin'" with a heart symbol following it.

9:05 p.m. Noise Complaint. Central Street and Washington Street. Officer hears fireworks in the Central Street vicinity, will investigate. Another caller reports hearing the same fireworks in the Washington and Depot area. Unable to locate. 

10:50 p.m. Disturbance. Scotch Dam Road. Two-way: neighbor reports loud arguing between two males from an outside party across the street. Officers advised the large group.

Sunday, September 8

1:08 p.m. Breaking and Entering (building). Turnpike Street. Officer interrupted a breaking and entering in progress by a female party, arrested Jennifer J. Vargas of South Main Street. 

5:53 p.m. Officer Wanted. Target Corporation, Robert Drive. Loss prevention requesting officer for party in custody for shoplifting. Target and subject agreed to private restitution. Involved party being transported to residence in town. 

7:30 p.m. Disorderly person. Stoneforge Grille, Roosevelt Circle. Manager has a patron in the bar area who made threats to stab and kill others. Unknown if he's drunk or having a mental episode. Party put into protective custody for drunkenness.
