Police Log: Deer Vs. Motor Vehicle, Noise Complaints, Attempted Breaking and Enterings on Wheeler Drive

The following is from the Easton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned they do not indicate convictions.

Sunday, August 23

1:32 p.m. 
Larceny of Motor Vehicle. Dailey Avenue. Caller reporting her motor vehicle gone from her yard within the past hour. Silver Dodge Journey, unsure of plate. 

2:39 p.m. Suspicious Activity. Washington Street. Caller reporting a male party just came into her salon stating that his wife broke down right down the street and he wanted to borrow $20. Party asked what time they closed and then he left. Caller states the party was a white male, approximately 5'8", scruffy, and possibly drunk. 

3:29 p.m. Vandalism. Andrews Farm Road. Caller reporting vandalism by spray paint on his fence. Officer reporting the spray paint is old.

Saturday, August 24 

2:11 a.m. 
Noise Complaint. Shovel Shop Square, Main Street. Officer reporting a passerby states he heard a loud explosion in the area of the shovel shop. Area found quiet and in order. 

4:26 a.m. Noise Complaint. South St. and Poquanticut Ave. Anonymous caller reporting loud party noise from the area; requesting officers. Officer advises resident and guests advised to go inside and keep the noise level down. 

8:20 a.m. Animal Incident. Depot Street. Caller reporting her golden retriever is missing. He is shaved, wearing a blue collar, and his name is Cooper. 

9:45 a.m. Animal Incident. Caller reporting and extremely large raccoon that seems to be sluggish in his neighbor's back yard. Caller will meet the officer outside. Reporting the raccoon wandered back into the woods. Parties advised.  

10:39 a.m. Larceny (under $250). Kilsyth Road. Caller reporting he was outside mowing his lawn and he went inside to make a cup of coffee and when he came back his lawn mower and a half a can of gas was gone. 

8:08 p.m. Noise complaint. Dean Street.  Multiple 911 calls of loud explosions in the area. No sign of smoke or fire, Easton Fire Department notified. Caller reporting fireworks from Winnecunnet Way. Officers checking the area. Easton FD notified. 

8:48 p.m. Noise Complaint. Queset on the Pond, Roosevelt Circle. 911 caller reporting fireworks in the area of Queset on the Pond. Officer checking the area, reporting a block party on Olivia Drive and parties advised to shut the fireworks down. 

Sunday, August 25

1:07 a.m. Noise Complaint. Summer Street. Caller reporting party noise in the area. Residents advised to turn down the music. 

8:56 a.m. Vandalism. Lothrop Street. Party into station to report that Monday morning, August 19 at 4:20, he got a flat tire on his way to work. Party states that when he arrived home that evening, two of his neighbors stated that their tires were slashed sometime overnight. Party just wanted it logged. 

12:55 p.m. Animal Incident. Union Street. Resident reports her dog missing, brown and white color, Cavalier and King Charles Spaniel Mix by the name of Max. No collar on today. 

7:21 p.m. Suspicious Activity. Peterson Road. Calling party reporting suspicious male in front of her residence taking pictures of her home and her 19-year-old daughter. Vehicle left area. Officer contacted Middletown, Rhode Island for assistance in identifying operator. 

11:32 p.m. Accident, Deer vs. Motor Vehicle. Bay Road. Operator in with Deer carcass in bed of truck. He struck it and killed it in the Five Corners area and did not want to leave it on the side of the road. Deer left at Dumpster, DPW notified for pickup. 

Monday, August 26

1:17 a.m. Disorderly Person. Easton Police Department, Lothrop St. While attempting to release prisoner from prior protective custody, officers places Justin Pawlowski of Westford under arrest for disorderly conduct. Clerk Santos set bail 1:27 a.m. for $100 plus $40. 

6:46 a.m. Attempted Breaking and Entering. Mercier Auto Sales and Garage, Hampden Drive. Caller reports coming into work today and noticed two more storage units have been broken into. Officer reports it was an attempted breaking and entering, no items have been taking. 

7:46 a.m. Attempted Breaking and Entering. Arborcare Ropes and Saddles, Hampden Drive. Officer reports while on scene for other attempted break, owner of neighboring of neighboring business reports locks were also cut on his property.
