Police Report Smashed Windows at Oliver Ames High School

A vandalism incident leads the Police Log from this past week.

On Monday, July 30 at approximately 12:45 a.m., an Easton Police officer reported a past vandalism incident at Oliver Ames High School.

The on-duty officer said three second-floor windows had been shattered; two on the south side and one on the north side. The officer said the windows were broken from an unknown calibre and the buidling is secured from the outside.

At approximately 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31, Police responded to multiple calls about a male party waving his hands in the air and running around the parking lot scaring customers.

Police were unable to locate the party upon arrival, who was decribed as a white male in his 20's with a black short-sleeved shirt and a while long-sleeved shirt underneath with black pants and a black baseball cap.

Unleashed Dogs Rescued

At approximately 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1, police received a call about two unleashed yellow labs running down Route 138 near Hilliards.

At approximately 9:30 a.m., police found the two animals, which were actually a beige shepherd and a tan shepherd. The animals were transported to a kennel in Brockton, where they were later picked up by their owner.

Coyote Sighting on Andrews Farm Road

An Andrews Farm Road resident called Easton Police on Wednesday, Aug. 1 at approximately 12:30 p.m. to report a coyote in his back yard.

The resident wasn't sure if the coyote was sick or injured. Animal control reported the coyote gone upon arrival.
