Roll-Over Accident at Burger King Sunday

One person was taken to the hospital. The incident highlight's today's Police and Fire Log.

One person was taken to the hospital Sunday evening after a motor vehicle accident at at Five Corners.

Emergency officials responded to a call at approximately 10:30 p.m. regarding an accident. Responders found a rolled-over vehicle that had struck a tree. One person was taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center.

Attempted Breaking and Entering Reported Friday

Police received a call at approximately 5:45 p.m. Friday regarding a possible breaking and entering incident on Prospect Street.

The caller stated a man wearing a light blue shirt was attempting to gain entry into a neighbor's household. Police arrived and were unable to locate the man. They conducted a walkthrough with the keyholder and nothing was out of place.

Possible Breaking and Entering Early Friday

Police received a report from a resident at approximately 3:45 a.m. Friday regarding a possible breaking and entering incident on Welch Road.

The caller said he could hear glass breaking and he secured his family into the attic. Officers arrived, checked the home, vehicles and property. They said nothing was out of place at the time.

Graduate Residences Targeted

A vandalism incident was reported Thursday evening that the Kilsyth Road caller said could be aimed at recent graduates.

The caller said their mailbox was vandalized, as was a neighbors. Both neighbors housed 2011 graduates. Police logged all incidents and the resident was informed of earlier incidents as well.

Rock Throwing on Foundry Street

A motorist approached an officer at at approximately 6:15 a.m. Thursday to report that her car had been shot at.

The motorist had a broken window and said it occurred while she was driving. The officer inspected the area and found rocks in the road that could have been used to throw at passing vehicles.

Possible Break-in on Lincoln Street

A Lincoln Street resident called at approximately 12:30 a.m. Thursday to report suspicious activity in his house.

The caller said he woke up to find someone next to his bed. He said the party is no longer in the house and he has no description. 

Officers checked the area and found no suspicious activity.
