Three Easton residents and one Brockton resident were transported to area hospitals early Sunday morning after a roll-over accident in Norton.

The vehicle, a 2006 Toyota Corolla operated by Christopher Voelker, 22, of Rollins Road, Easton suffered heavy damage when it struck a telephone pole near Quick-Stop Convenience on Route 123, Norton Police Liutenant Todd M. The three passengers were Adam Ortiz, age 20, of Foundry Street, Easton; Madsen Bazile, 19, of Johnson Street, Brockton; and Nathan Barrows,19, of Janine Drive, North Easton. The utility pole was broken in half and wires were covering the roadway, according to Jackson, closing traffic in the area throughout Sunday morning.

"Voelker was issued a citation by Norton Police for speeding and negligent operation of a motor vehicle," Jackson said.  "Alcohol was not believed to be a factor. The crash is under investigation by Ptlm. Michael McKenney."
