State Police Foot Pursuit Leads to Arrest Near Easton Border

A 24-year-old woman was arrested after fleeing into the woods on Route 24 in Raynham.

A State Police foot chase just outside of Easton on Route 24 resulted in the arrest of a 24 year-old female Thursday afternoon.

The suspect, whose name was not immediately released, was wanted for possession of a Class A substance and was wanted on eight separate arrest warrants, according to State Police.

She was stopped on Route 24 in Raynham and fled into the woods wearing a dress and high heals, State Police said. A passenger in the vehicle was detained as well.

"She was tracked by a K-9 through several streets in Raynham before being caught trying to make her way back through the woods to Route 24," State Police said in a statement. "She surrendered to troopers without further incident and will be booked at the barracks in Middleboro."
