Three Easton Businesses Fail Alcohol Compliance Check

Pop's Fine Wine's and Liquors, White Hen Pantry and LOCO Tapas and Wine Bar were caught selling to minors in the recent sting.

 

Three of Easton's liquor-selling establishments were allegedly caught selling alcohol to underage customers during a recent alcohol compliance check conducted by the Easton Police Department.

, and were caught in the sting, which took place on Nov. 17 and Dec. 1, Police Chief said.

Krajcik said two underage college students were used in the sting. The students did not carry identification and if they were asked of their age, they were instructed to respond truthfully. Additionally, police posted advance notice in the local press

Police traveled to package stores during the first night of the sting. A 24 pack of Bud Light beer was allegedly sold to the underage students at White Hen Pantry and an 18 pack of Bud Light was allegedly sold at Pop's.

Last fall, and had its liquor license

LOCO allegedly sold to the students during the Dec. 1 sting. All other stores and restaurants passed the compliance check, Krajcik said.

The three establishments will appear before the board of selectmen at an upcoming hearing.

"This information was forwarded to the town administrator and the board of selectmen for appropriate action by the licensing authority," Krajcik said.
