Expanded bus service to Boston is available in Easton as part of an expansions of of new regional transportation services, according to a statement from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.

BusPlus is a public/private partnership between MassDOT and Bloom's Bus Lines which "provides new regional buses to private for-profit bus companies. The companies in return must deliver regional services improvements and will be responsible for all bus maintenance and operating costs."

"The federally-funded competitive grant program includes replacement of 31 regional buses with new, state-of-the-art vehicles." Bloom's Bus Lines began running buses to and from Boston in Easton, Raynham, Taunton, and West Bridgewater.

Jeff, if you look at the links on Bloom's website, it doesn't mention where the actual pickup at 138/106 is. It also doesn't give boarding times. It just says "F" on Easton's pickup. Any way you can contact them and post the info?

I'm unsure why the Patch can't do a little reporting on their own. I emailed Bloom and they told me that they pick up directly at the southeast corner of 106/138. The "F" on the timetable means that it is not an official stop. You must flag the driver.

I also wonder exactly where the 138/106 stop is. I assume the bus is coming from the race track, making the right onto 106. Is the stop in the parking lot of that Business Center on the corner--- On the way to the 24/106 stop which is near Charlie Horse Restaurant?

@Christine: Again, not sure why the Patch is content to settle for a half article when a bit of digging on their part would get the remainder of the story. Yes, you stand at the business center and wave down the Bloom bus. It will be on it's way from the dog track to the Park and Ride on 106/24. The "F" on the timetable stands for "Flag." The bus will not make a stop unless they are flagged down.
