Easton Memorial Day Parade Monday

Ceremonies will kick off exactly at 2:00 p.m.

The following is from the Town of Easton:

Easton’s annual Memorial Day Parade is scheduled for Monday, May 26, 2014. Groups are asked to form at the Church Street Cemetery in South Easton no later than 1:30 pm. Ceremonies will kick off exactly at 2:00 pm. The parade will regroup after that ceremony and march from Church Street to Depot Street and then to the Civil War Memorial where there will be another ceremony and where it will end.

Parade Marshalls this year are two Iraq War Veterans, Kenneth Bowman and Paul Panaikas . There will be two marching bands this year, the Oliver Ames High School and the Canton American Legion Bands, VFW and Legion Color Guards, Police Dept., Fire Dept., Selectmen, Veterans and cars. Other music will be provided by Ann DiSanto at the Civil War Memorial. There will be speakers and Abraham Lincoln will be there also. Boy and Girl Scouts and all Daisy’s, Brownies and Cub Scouts are welcomed to walk in the parade. 

All groups are encouraged to come out and participate and all floats are welcomed. All veterans are encouraged to come out and march, walk or ride! Please come out and watch the parade on a day we remember our fallen veterans.
