The Massachusetts Cultural Cultural Council (MCC) has awarded grants to cultural organizations, schools, and communities in Easton, according to a statement from Representative Claire D. Cronin’s office.
“These grants have a significant impact on Easton by supporting education, economic activity,
and community vitality through the arts, humanities and sciences,” said Cronin in the statement.
The Easton Cultural Council, which supports local art and history, funds school field trips, and sponsors local concerts and exhibitions, received a state grant for $5,790.
“This grant allows the Easton Cultural Council to fund events in Easton and we are thrilled to
receive this grant,” said Chair of the Easton Board of Selectmen, Colleen A. Corona in the statement.
The Fuller Craft Museum, which received the Cultural Investment Portfolio Program Grant for $11,000, “connects children and adults to the arts; teaches them about history, literature, and the natural environment; and introduce them to new languages and cultures.”“This funding is important with the advent of the Easton Cultural District,” said Cronin. “Both the Cultural District and the Cultural Council will provide a wide variety of cultural activities and projects that benefit Easton residents.”
