Easton's Risk of EEE Heightened from Moderate to High

The Department of Public Health has raised Easton's EEE risk from moderate to high, based on two mosquitoes testing positive for the disease in Raynham, according to a statement Health Agent Kristin C. Kennedy of the Easton Board of Health.

"With this change in our risk status comes the DPH recommendation that all outdoor activities be cancelled during the times of increased mosquito activity," said the statement.

The Department of Public Health has provided sunset calendar. The town passed a Board of Health regulation last year giving the Board of Health the authority to limit nighttime activities.
