A former assistant district attorney for the Cape and Middlesex County, Kennedy running for his first political seat. He is running in the Democratic primary for the seat, which will be held Thurs., Sept. 6.

Joe and his twin brother Matt were the co-chairs of their great Uncle Ted Kennedy's re-election campaign in 2006. At Stanford, Joe was a goalie and the co-captain of the lacrosse team. Joe is engaged to Lauren Birchfield. The two met in law school.
