O'Connell Re-elected as State Rep in 3rd Bristol

Shaunna O'Connell defeated Sherry Costa Hanlon

Shaunna O'Connell will be returning to the State House in January.

The Republican State Rep was reelected in the 3rd Bristol District, which represents 11 precincts in Taunton and the 6th precinct of Easton.

O'Connell defeated Democratic challenger Sherry Costa Hanlon by an unofficial margin of  9,280 to 7,116. The incumbent won in both Easton and Brockton.

In the Shovel Town, she won by a healthy margin of 1110 to 738.

O'Connell will join Democrat Claire Cronin, _who defeated Dan Murphy last night_ to become the State Rep in the 11th Plymouth District, representing Precincts 1-5 in Easton.
