Two Veteran Bristol County Prosecutors Tapped For District Court Judgeships

Bristol Country A.D.A. Cynthia M. Brackett and prosecutor John P. Stapleton will appear before the Governor's Council for confirmation.

Gov. Deval Patrick has nominated two Bristol County prosecutors to become district court judges, according to the Sun Chronicle

Cynthia M. Brackett, a 22-year Bristol County Assistant District Attorney and John P. Stapleton, a 25-year prosecutor in both Bristol and Norfolk counties, will go before the Governor's Council for confirmation hearings. 

Brackett will fill a vacancy in Taunton District Court left by the Honorable Joseph I. Macy and Stapleton will replace Judge David Turcotte of Fall Rive District.
