The 3 P's You May Want to Consider

Wedding planners and past clients have shared with us, at Hudson Photography, attributes they look for in their professional photographer. We would like to share 3  P's that you may want to consider looking for when hiring your photographer.

 Patience

The professional photographer you hire should be patient enough to photograph what you have visualized. He or she needs to be able to adapt with ease to changing light, weather, spontaneous change of locations and time restrictions.

Personality

Your photographer should be able to capture the romantic moments, using only slight direction. In addition, they must be able to work effortlessly as a team with your DJ or band, videographer and function manager.  Look for a professional photographer that will always have a smile on his or her face and will make you, your wedding party and guests feel comfortable and relaxed.

 Professionalism

A photographer should be able to mingle with your family and friends, having a good time but not act as your guest. Would you feel comfortable seeing your professional photographer at the bar or sitting down for long periods of time?  A professional photographer should be walking around capturing your fun and special moments throughout the day.

Having a professional relationship with your photographer is one of the most important decisions you can make!

Your photographs are the only purchase (aside from your wedding rings) that will give you a lifetime return on your investment. Just as you want your wedding rings to fit properly, the same goes for your photographer, making sure he or she is the right fit for you!

Please share your thoughts of what you feel your professional photographer should be! We would love to hear from you!
